Benjamin Bat
Benjamin is a young bat who lives with his father and three brothers in an old mill. Benjamin isn't an ordinary bat—he's afraid of the dark and loves to sing, which is why his brothers tease him. Only his neighbor, Radley the Rat, seems to understand Benjamin, and they become friends. Since shy Benjamin doesn’t dare join the others on their nightly hunt for food, he tries it early in the morning instead. Unfortunately, Benjamin ends up in trouble, from which he narrowly escapes into a shed. There, he is found by Sherida, a colorful songbird from the tropics, and the two become friends. As dusk falls, Benjamin returns home, where his father sternly warns him not to trust the birds, who are the bats’ enemies. Benjamin faces a dilemma: should he obey his father, or help Sherida, the girl he has a crush on, prepare for a singing contest?
