In the small town of Tepoztlán, Mexico, lives the brave and radiant Karla, whose life revolves around TikTok, makeup, and her loving family. Karla, a middle schooler, wants to be completely herself and attend school as a girl. She’s anxious about whether she’ll be able to change her legal name before school starts. Karla talks with her friends Oliver and Valentina about her future, her dreams, and her fears. What is it like to grow up as a trans girl amid the prejudices and hate speech of those around her? Fortunately, Karla has the support of good friends and her parents, and the future no longer seems so lonely.
