Information about exceptional arrangements due to Covid-19
We update this page to keep visitors informed about the special arrangements at the Oulu International Children's and Youth Film Festival.
Our visitors and personnel are important to us. Therefore we have made some changes and special arrangements at our festival to guarantee a safe experience to everyone. We have updated our safety and hygiene instructions in connection to screenings at the Cultural Centre Valve. Therefore, please look into the instructions and information below before you visit the 39th Oulu International Children's and Youth Film Festival.
Please observe general safety and hygiene when visiting the Cultural Centre Valve:

- Please do not come to the Cultural Centre Valve if you have any coronavirus-related symptoms
- Keep a social distance of 1 to 2 metres
- Good hand hygiene is important: wash your hands or use hand sanitizer
- Cough into a handkerchief or your sleeve
- We recommend wearing a face mask
General instructions

- Keep other visitors safe and please do not attend screenings if you have any coronavirus-related symptoms
- We recommend that you purchase tickets primarily through Ticketmaster's online store: www.ticketmaster.com.
- Tickets can also be purchased from the Valve Ticket office via contactless card payment.
- Hand sanitizer is provided at the entrances of the Valve Main Hall and Cinema Studio. Hand sanitizer is also available at the festival info desk.
- We have extended the times between screenings to avoid crowds in the lobby. 
- Screenings are scheduled to overlap so that different audiences are not in the lobby simultaneously. 

Special attention is paid to the cleaning of the premises. Door handles and other surfaces are sanitized regularly.
Instructions for Cinema Studio

- Personnel will open the door 15 minutes before showtime to avoid queues. 
- Please leave a space of at least 1 meter between you and the next viewer. You can sit next to each other if you have arrived together.
- Of the 45 seats of Studio, only 20 are in use during the festival.
Instructions for Valve Main Hall

- Personnel will open the door 15 minutes before showtime to avoid queues. 
- Personnel will guide the audience to find seats with a space of at least 1 metre between parties. You can sit next to each other if you have arrived together.
- Of the 178 seats of the Valve Main Hall, only 50 are in use during the festival.
