Small Dogs Bark Loud

This heartwarming documentary follows the adventures of 12-year-old Tuni and her dog Salto as they navigate challenges and difficult emotions. The death of her older brother and her mother’s serious illness cause worry and grief, but these tragic experiences also teach her to live in the moment; that’s why Tuni makes a list of things she still wants to do in her life.

The list takes Tuni and Salto on a variety of adventures through Norway’s beautiful natural landscapes, and along the way, they learn the importance of being present, sharing their feelings, and caring for one another. With Salto by her side, Tuni processes and makes sense of her own emotions and manages to find both small and larger moments of happiness in life.

The documentary also gives a voice to animals and poignantly depicts the depth of the relationship between animals and humans. A small dog can have a big impact, and even a small voice can make a big difference.
