A fearless bark beetle finds matches and a cigarette butt left behind by humans at the foot of its home tree. After a busy day, it snuggles under its leaf-blanket, but its sleep is interrupted when smoke from a fire started by the cigarette butt drifts in. Soon the tree is engulfed in flames, and as everyone flees, the beetle is separated from the others and carried far away by the stream. How will the little beetle find its way home?
