YASMYN. CLARITY FOR A DAY OR TWO

Yasmyn is the first Estonian RnB, soul and pop artist, and she has always dreamt of becoming a singer since childhood. The young twenty-something Yasmyn has had to grow up, learn from her life and at the same time try to build a career as a musician through the Covid pandemic that began in 2019 and the challenges it brought. It has not been easy to rise to fame in small Estonia, and Yasmyn has faced prejudice, discrimination and disapproval both as a child and in her career because of her background. However, Yasmyn doesn’t pay mind to her bad experiences and has instead always been inspired by the music of her Dominican father and the encouraging attitude of her Estonian mother. In her documentary, we get to follow Yasmyn's growth as a person and an artist, and see how she progresses in her career step by step against adversity and carves her place in the world of Estonian music.
