THE WISHING TREE: CHILDHOOD MEMORIES

Mara, a 12-year-old cancer sufferer, lives with her grandfather. They keep sweet memories of Mara's mother alive by reading a book, the story of which brings comfort especially to the girl. As the disease inevitably progresses, Mara moves to live with other children in a warm and welcoming care facility. One night, a dog wakes Mara and leads her to a tree in the garden. A contact with its trunk plunges her into a strange world, where there is something strangely familiar. Mara must help Ion, a boy who is constantly in trouble, to make his own fervent wish come true.
