Little Dorka lives like a princess in a gorgeous house with her widowed father, the housekeeper and gardener, who teaches her magic tricks. One morning Dorka’s father tells her that she is getting a new stepmother, Viola. Dorka gets a bad feeling when she discovers that Viola has locked the door to the attic where they keep her late mother’s belongings. Viola is an evil stepmother, just like in the fairy tales! Dorka tries to convince her father about Viola’s bad intentions, but her father thinks that she is only imagining everything. Dorka attends a summer camp where she begins to plan how to save her father from evil Viola and to make him realize her devious plans before the wedding bells ring.
