Nasrin, 13, is the victim of a forced marriage arranged by her father and has her first child at the age of 14. When Nasrin is 16 and expecting her second child, the family moves to Finland. Life for a young mother in a foreign country without language skills or a support network is challenging. After the birth of her third child, Nasrin decides to study Finnish. While attending school, she realises that she does not have to submit to other people's will and decides to file for divorce.
